BOTANIC GARDENS AUTUMN RAMBLE
Saturday 30th April 2011
After having to call the trip off on the 16th April, due to such bad weather, we decided
to try again on the 30th April.
The day dawned fine, with no wind, and was close to perfect for capturing the Autumn
colours. There were 8 of us altogether, and we more or less followed a path
that took us from the Band Rotunda, through the maples, into the NZ garden and
finally ended up at the cafe for a well earned coffee, where we could chat and swap
notes as to what we had seen and done during the morning.
A special thanks must be given to Sue Blair, who inspired a lot of us to try out doing
‘creative and arty’ work with all the colours that were in front of us. We look forward
to seeing some of these images for our upcoming exhibition.
Most of us had a range of lenses from long to macro, and there was definitely something
there for all of us to see. We are very lucky to have such a beautiful garden on
our doorstep.
