Topic: Antarctica, Adélie Penguins

Kevin has worked for the Forest Research Institute and now Landcare Research for over 33 years as a field science technician in ecological science. Most of his work over the years has been with birds and he has looked at many different aspects of N.Z’s ecological pest problems. Possums, Rats, Wasps are just some pest animals he has worked on. Kevin has monitored the effects of poison operations, Native logging on native bird populations, and travelled around NZ looking at avian disease such as Avian Malaria.

In more recent years he has travelled to Ross Island, Antarctica working with Adélie Penguins.
